Marianne & Jim

One of the continual joys of being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to be around extraordinary people and catch a glimpse into their lives. Another joy is the chance to travel to Montana to take awesome pictures! Marianne is a friend from college and I grew up with Jim, and a series of events put us in touch and in Montana at the same time of their wedding, which was such a huge blessing! Jim was involved in planning some interesting details that I had never seen before, like the German tradition of sawing a log, the Laguiole knives as groomsmens gifts, the real silver quarters given him by family (the French shepherds tradition is that if someone gives you a knife, you give them a coin). The wedding was on the lake in Bigfork Montana, which is a cute little town that is sort of a base-camp for visitors to Glacier National park.
