The bedrock of great pictures is trust, and Sam & Adam saw something that caught their eyes and hearts in our work through a random google search. Several months and a few Skype conferences later, we were at the Liberty Warehouse in NYC photographing their wedding and having a blast. Photography has taken us to some incredible places, and having the Statue of Liberty at sunset as the backdrop documenting the day of people who welcomed us as friends at first sight is near the top of the list.

Sam & Adam, we are so grateful for your trust – being a part of your wedding was an absolute joy!

the Sonnet House

There are a few wedding venues in Alabama where we return again and again, always excited about the possibility of the land and the light. . .the Sonnet House is one of those places. We’ve taken some of our favorite pictures we’ll every take there – and Jared, Corey, and Candace are always fantastic about, well, everything.

Wren & Ethan

Wren and Ethan had a stunning wedding at the Mitchell Plantation in Bell Mina, Alabama last weekend. . .Wren had planned out her details impeccably – and walking into the soft peaches and corals of the day was seeing her Pinterest board brought to life. Their ceremony involved many of Wren’s mentor’s and friends and we loved documenting the connection and compassion they had with their guests. (The perfect light, fields with huge trees, and sunset surrounding the plantation were pretty fantastic too 🙂 )

Leigh & Perry

Leigh and Perry had a beautiful wedding at the Southwood House in Tallahassee. I’m happy anywhere with Spanish Moss, a beautiful bride, and a happy groom (Perry was so excited!) – it was a wonderful day! My favorite wedding band, the Negotiators, made the trip from Birmingham to rock the reception and Sheila Melton (based in Tallahassee) coordinated the wedding and she and Leigh’s uncle put in tons of work to make sure everything was perfect despite a little rain.

Sydney & Blake

We have never felt more welcome than we did walking into Sydney and Blake’s wedding last weekend – we shot Sydney’s sister Jennifer’s wedding 9 months ago (who was the new sister-in-law to Laura and Roan, the first wedding we ever shot in Birmingham) and it’s always a huge compliment to be asked into yet another important day in a family’s life. Rain threatened all day but in the end we had a beautiful, cool spring evening. The grounds of Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, GA were dripping with color (and their staff was amazing – smoothly moving the day from one place to the other).

Sydney and Blake trusted us completely and let us steal them away for night shots and shots in the rain that finally appeared 20 minutes before they left. We had an amazing evening with them and all their friends and family. . welcome to their wedding day. . .
