Guest blogger, Ari, here again. . .hijacking the blog to talk about Betsy.
Betsy knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding – from the white ranunculus in her bouquet to the cherry blossoms on the tables to the bridesmaids in black dresses they picked out, to the chapel at Furman, to her aunt’s vintage Priscilla of Boston lace dress. Everything complemented and didn’t compete with the Marine uniform Mastin, his father, and many of his groomsmen so proudly wore.
Mastin had been deployed to Afghanistan for much of their engagement, so I hadn’t had a chance to meet him yet. She and Mastin were wonderful about giving us time to take pictures around Furman, which I loved – first because it gave us time to create something really special for them, but also because I got to see first hand just how much Mastin loved one of my best friends.
The wedding was at Furman University and the reception was at the Huguenot Mill in Greenville, SC.
